Needs of Institution

We are a trust school, rely on donations and the nominal fees we get from the students. As we are a not for profitschool, the school expenses are managed by tuition fees and very often are from philanthropists who sponsor children’s school expenses.    Our need for our institution is support for grants and donations to meet our expenses, maintain the resources.
Non-SIBI

Personally I’ve always wanted the best for everyone and love to volunteer and serve the community. I’ve served in different non sibi capacities. During my vacations I always manage to serve at the Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT), there I spend time with the children in the pediatric wards, play with them, tell stories etc. In the same capacity I also collect data from the patients, listen to their woes and console them. I am engaged as a adult volunteer with a volunteer service program where students from different school come and take training about volunteer service.  I have collected funds and materials for the flood refugees in the southern province of rural Sindh and gifts for the under privileged children during the Holy month of Ramadhan.

Reflection Max Courage

I was so glad we had the chance to share time with Max Warburg Fellows and guests of the Courage Curriculum. There I learnt about Max courage curriculum and their dedication in improving the standard of education, and their two programs, Courage in My Life (for sixth graders) and The Courage of My Convictions (for ninth graders) in which they encourage students to examine the many forms of courage in their own lives, in the lives of those around them, and in their communities.  I am highly inspired by the mission of the Max Warburg Courage Curriculum that is to strengthen the character development and literacy skills of students. The touching part of the visit is the story of Max and his courage of fighting with his illness.

Washington D.C. Reflection
Washington D.C. Trip was amazing and unforgettable trip.  I went with my PEI friends to Washington D.C. on 22nd of July. First day we had a Moonlight trolley tour of the city where we got a lot of information about different historical places and monuments. This was perhaps the most magnificent way to view the monuments, Kennedy Center, and the other grand structures that create the capital's impressive skyline.
The next day we visited State Department where we met different officials with whom we had very interactive discussions and received our certificates. Then we visited different museums and the best one was the Natural History Museum. We also visited Pakistan Embassy, Senate house, Voice of America and National Post Office. All the places were worth seeing and the tours were enlightening.
Last but not the least Kabob Palace - where we had all our meals. The food was delicious and mouthwatering. The kebabs were phenomenal! (This is a must visit :)
Indeed Washington DC’s unforgettable skyline is marked by some of the world’s most celebrated monuments and memorials. The fantastic temples, structures and statues that grace the green expanses of National Mall and beyond tell fascinating stories through their history and design.

General awareness of the relationship between the environment and human life
The environment has become one of the most important issues of our time. The challenge is to find approaches to environmental management that give people the quality of life they seek while protecting the environmental systems that are also the foundations of our wellbeing. In order to face these challenges, students today will need more than superficial knowledge or awareness of disconnected environmental issues. A multidisciplinary approach to learning can build upon the strengths of a wide range of fields of study, providing a deeper understanding of the technological, political, and social options and strategies for both studying and managing the relationship between our society and the environment.
Environmental Literacy is achieved when students possess the knowledge, intellectual skills, attitudes, experiences and motivation to make and act upon responsible environmental decisions as individuals and as members of their community. Environmentally literate students understand environmental and physical processes and systems, including human systems. They are able to analyze global, social, cultural, political, physical, economic and environmental relationships, and weigh various sides of environmental issues to make responsible decisions as individuals and as members of their community and citizens of the world.
